Throwback is a six-piece band, featuring lead and rhythm guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums and percussion and includes FOUR vocalists amongst us!
Apart from our young, and talented, keyboard player, every one of us played in bands in the 60’s, therefore we have a wealth of professional experience and always have a sympathetic and responsible consideration towards whatever your function may be.
Our typical playing time, if required between 8pm and midnight, for example, is 2 x 45 mins and 1 x 60 mins, with two 30 min rest periods, so you get a lot of music for your money. However, we’ll happily play to whatever times you require.
During the Band’s “rest” periods, we are happy to play suitable interval music from our i-Pod, or you can supply your own and play this through our PA.
All our instruments, amplification, drums and percussion are best quality and with four vocalists, our PA is more than adequate to project this aspect of the band’s appeal. We include nominal lighting effects to add to the ambience of the evening, as well.
We play classic sounds, mostly from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s, with a few more recent, popular songs - those songs most people like to sing and dance to. Our typical set list is overleaf, but we can include many others from our extensive repertoire, which we are adding to all the time. If we don’t know it, and you give us enough notice, we’ll do our best to play your special request on the night.
